María Fernanda Farall
With over 25 years of experience in cross-border M&A and corporate matters, María regularly advises companies conducting business in the U.S. and throughout Latin America.
Before joining Wasserman West, María was a key member of Jones Day’s Latin American practice, where she represented various clients in significant M&A transactions in the region. María also practiced law in Argentina for several years before relocating to the U.S.
María has frequently been recognized as a leading practitioner in Latin America and the U.S. Latinvex has regularly named her one of the “Top 50 Female Lawyers” and “Top 100 Female Lawyers” in the region, while Chambers Global has recognized her as an “expert based abroad” for her corporate and M&A work in Argentina, as well as a leader in the fields of banking and finance, in addition to corporate/M&A, in the U.S. Chambers Latin America has also acknowledged her as a leader in the fields of corporate/M&A for Latin America.
Additionally, María has served on several executive and advisory boards, including the Executive Committee of the International Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the Advisory Board Member of the Latin American Law & Business Report. She has also authored several articles on Latin American law and practice for that publication.
