Ryan Mullen
Mr. Mullen, fluent in English, Portuguese, and German, advises multinational corporations and global investors on cross-border regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters.
Ryan is Of Counsel at the firm, where his practice covers corporate law; compliance and investigations, including under the FCPA; environmental and labor matters; and litigation advisory services. Clients value his clear, practical approach to contract drafting and regulatory strategy, particularly in anticipating compliance risks before they escalate into liabilities. He brings a cross-border perspective shaped by work in both directions: advising clients headquartered in South America and Europe on U.S. legal requirements, while respecting jurisdictional distinctions, and advising U.S.-based clients on matters abroad, especially in Latin America, with a focus on Brazil.
Ryan also advises financial institutions and investors on investment and financing structures, including their governance, risk allocation, and regulatory dimensions. That work, centered on Brazil and elsewhere in South America and frequently handled as part of multidisciplinary teams, spans sectors where regulation and capital structure intersect, among them infrastructure, energy, and sustainable finance.
